Our November pack hike will be our traditional post-Thanksgiving hike at Sugarloaf Mountain. We will hike on Sunday, November 27th at 1 p.m.
Parking at Sugarloaf can be challenging so I budget extra time for that. We will park at the West View Parking lot past the roundabout (if you haven't been before, keep driving up the mountain until you reach the large parking lot at the end of the road. You'll go past one or two parking lots that are off to the side of the road.)
We will meet at the covered picnic area next to a VERY large rock. REMINDER- for Scouts to receive hiking miles they need to check in with the leader with the sign-in sheet Please try to arrive a little before the scheduled hike to allow time to check in and so that we can start at 1.
The start of the trail will be on the right and should be marked by signpost B10. The Trail listed is a combination of a few different trails. At the East View parking lot hikers can choose whether to ascend the mountain using the Orange trail or walk on the road to the parking area.
Weather permitting, we will follow the Blue & White trail - White Trail- Orange Trail (Rock Scramble) - Green Trail. This is a natural trail; strollers are not advised. Please make sure to have proper footwear as this gets muddy and can have steep inclines/declines, as well as wet leaves.
