Our February pack hike will be an evening hike among the monuments around the Tidal Basin and National Mall in Washington D.C. It will take place on Saturday, February 24 at 5 p.m. We have planned the hike for the evening to get a view of the monuments at night. Consider bringing reflective gear or lights.

Monuments Hike
The hike will start and end at the Jefferson Memorial and will follow a roughly 3.3 mile loop which will take us past the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial and MLK Memorial. We will meet on the side of the Jefferson Memorial facing the Tidal Basin. Attached is a map that shows the route.
Parking: There are at least two National Park Service visitor lots adjacent to the Jefferson Memorial on Ohio Drive SW (971 Ohio Dr SW, Washington, DC 20024) If parking lot A is full, there is another one a little further down the road: https://goo.gl/maps/
If your scout is unable to join us on the Pack hike and would like to earn the hiking miles, please have them complete the same hike on your own schedule and let us know within 30 days.
